Shoot

Had a shoot today.  It rained at times, there wasn’t enough light (or time) to do everything, the sun  wasn’t acting very nice (did she not get the memo? we said shadows), but none the less – we’re really happy with how it came out.   I’m telling you kids, Todiana at Elite.. she’s it.  We love her.  We want to use her for every shoot.

Credit for the out take pictures/video goes to our #1 Assistant GM Auto. AKA O Photo. AKA Bruce.

Mars & Ladytron

Tonight we went to Mars (again) and there were 2 martians there.  The male one (who is very sweet) gave us both balloons.  The female martian is adorable and has great shoes.  I wish we didn’t have anywhere to go afterwards or I would have liked to take my $15 cheeseburger home that I took 3 bites out of. :(   The pickle was good though. I had Matthews too.   Afterwards, we went to see Ladytron @ Webster Hall.  We haven’t been to a show in so long and it was much fun.  We danced, sang and had fun.  Afterwards, I had peanut butter cups.

Andy Goldsworthy

I recently watched a documentary about English artist Andy Goldsworthy titled "Rivers and Tides" directed by Thomas Riedelsheimer.  I was blown away by Goldsworthy’s work and talent.  Goldsworthy is one of those artists that make you and your art feel insignificant and talentless.   He creates temporary sculptural pieces which contrasts  with their environments using  natural and found objects.  His works often includes twigs, thorns, stone, mud, snow, icicles, brightly colored flowers and leaves. He often uses only his bare hands, teeth, and found tools to prepare and arrange the materials.   You can see his work "Garden of Stones" currently at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York at 36 Battery Place.

Here are some of his works.
