Oh my, the pumpkins are taking over!!
If you are my Facebook friend then you know that last week at 6:30 AM I could be found in the garden impregnating female pumpkin flowers.
The lucky Bachelor:
The results 3 days later.. I think it’s a success!
Pumpkins/Garden in the morning:
The Tomato Guys.
In the next 2 weeks, I predict we’ll have about 50 tomatoes. What to make?
Lots of nice sized peppers coming up.
If I could have a garden crush on anyone, it might be the broccoli. Look at those amazing leaves, hands down some of the prettiest..
More broccoli and a new transplanted (from our apartment) cauliflower.
The corn is so exciting to watch!
When we’re waiting on set, we do stuff like this.
11 weeks, here we are.
As you can see the pumpkins are so big you can’t see the rest of the garden.
Female Pumpkin Flowers!!!!
Our harvest this week!! First peppers to eat!
OMG. The corn! It’s happening. We can’t believe it.
The beans 2.0 are doing great. We spotted a few actual beans starting…
Here is Mr. Broccoli.
New Pepper. The pepper plants have so many flowers on them!
Our new Blend cover. Blend also did a article on Meowzas!! – you can read it on their website.
Final images/animations will be posted soon from this story.
Here we are at 10 weeks!
Look at the pumpkins!
This week our pumpkins were attacked by aphids, which is why we are spraying them away with some water/vegetable oil/dish soap mixture.
The ladybug is slowly eating them all too. Remember I talked about her last week, well she’s still there! She must love it there. Here she is, being the garden protector!
Lots of tomato flowers.. I watched a video on how to self pollinate them, basically you flick and shake them.. I look crazy when I’m working on the garden.
New and old peppers..
Beans look great, minus the one leaf that must have been delicious.
Matthew doing something to the corn that can’t be seen with 1 eye open.
Hello 9 weeks. No real negatives this week. Everything is looking good. The pumpkins are going wild, I swear everyday we have to tie them up more. Also, we spotted our first ladybug. Of all days I didn’t have my phone on me to take a picture, it was that day. I hope she comes back!
Here are 2 of the pumpkins!
Pepper progress.. these guys have 1-2 weeks left before we pick them.
The beans are back! So happy for them.
The tomatoes preparing for their next batch. The plant in B-3 is the tallest, he’s about to grow past the cage…
