Garden – End of October

We’re still getting vegetables – enough tomatoes that I haven’t had to buy any since a few months ago!

The broccoli worked! We grew this from seed inside our place and eventually transported it to the garden – really proud of this guy!

Broccoli is one of the prettiest plants..

Decided to pull some of the carrots to see what’s been happening the last few months…

What do cats think of carrots?  Brother was scared of them, Essy wants to eat the greens, Xanadu and FiFi Bofinks were intrigued.

Today’s Pictures

Hello.  It is fall now – it is beautiful out! Fall/Winter is the best – I hate summer.  I get to wear capes and socks and coats that blow in the wind and it’s lovely!

Fette Sau is a BBQ place in Brooklyn – I guess it’s pretty well known.  Anyways we went today.  I’m not sure about the meat, I enjoyed the sides but the meat was too fatty in my opinion, maybe we just had bad luck.  Might give it another try next month.  Dad, if you are reading this – we should go here.

Also, Halloween is here in 2 weeks – omg so exciting.  Fall/Winter has the best holidays too!

photo 3.JPG

Lastly, still flooded with tomatoes.  Delicious.

Balloon Suit Riot

Matthew is in Grad School at NYU ITP? Did you know? No? Well now you do.  It’s kinda amazing – everything we’re being exposed to and the people there.  Matthew is back in school because we felt a little limited by what we can do and what we want to do – we want more interactive, more large scale, pushing past photography and into new mediums.  We want to mix everything up and spit out technology at people as they duck in fear, confusion and then happiness.

Anyways.

Matthew had a project on Tuesday and his group dressed up in light up balloon costumes they made and everyone chased and popped them.  I wish I had better video but I was the usher who gave everyone pins to pop the balloons!   See.. I even dressed up like a usher!

Here they are putting together the costumes.

Here is some video of after they get popped and running around:

Garden: 18 Weeks

Hi garden friends. Not much to say about the garden,  starting to get chilly here (I love fall/winter) so some vegetables are loving it, some are unsure about it.

Can we just talk tomatoes?  Because that’s what my life is about. We have so many.   This is how many tomatoes we picked just today!  Now imagine how many we had over the past 2 weeks… alot.  I have been trying to think of things to make, or just enjoying them so none go to waste.

And for size reference, we got some beefy tomatoes!
