We built a cold frame/mini green house this weekend. We will begin transplanting the broccoli and cauliflower next weekend, we just have to figure out how to not shock them. This will be our first cold frame, very exciting. Here’s to many hopeful broccoli dishes!
Xanadu tested it out before it went live.
Broccoli/Cauliflower/Pumpkins ready to go (the ones to the sides and back).
Today we filled the planters up with some manure and peat moss to really give them nutrients. Last year we were looking for manure in July and it was impossible to find, but this year we got it early. I know it smells, but it’s also semi enjoyable and reminds me of home (I mean that in a nice way, it’s good memories).
We’re going to have both of these planters, many additional SIP containers (self irrigating) and other pots to grow berries, herbs. So we’re going to expand alot this year. So exciting!
