How the G Got Its Groove Back

I forgot to post this a few weeks ago, but here it is. Now all of our friends can stop complaining. :-) The Grandpas are hard at work!

Since July 5, the G train – the only major subway line that does not enter Manhattan, and long viewed as one of the system’s most neglected and least beloved routes – has been extended past its usual Brooklyn terminus at Smith-Ninth Streets. The G train now serves five additional stations in Brooklyn: Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street, Seventh Avenue-Ninth Street, 15th Street-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Church Avenue. The response, among G line riders, has been nothing short of elation.
